Description (Source: VNDB)
Spring. After the death of his father - a world-famous artist - left him without any living relatives, protagonist Kusanagi Naoya is put under the care of his friend Natsume Kei's family. There, his homeroom teacher Natsume Ai, and Kei's younger sister - the actress Natsume Shizuku - await him in turn. And with the arrival of the new school term, Misakura Rin - Naoya's childhood friend who transferred long ago - reappears right before him. Beyond the veil of cherry blossom petals blown by the wind - almost like their promised reunion - feelings pile up with the passage of time: once the torrent of emotions comes rushing down, what is the spectacle that awaits?
Interest: Subahibi AMA responses from SCA-DI as part of the Wonderful Everyday kickstarter expressed interest in the localisation of Sakura no Uta under the condition that there is enough demand. Considering the popularity (#237) and vote stats of the title (8.93), I am intrigued whether you would be willing to localise a VN that deserves your group's attention.
Accessible: Low Sexual Content (2.5), with a story that relies less on extreme genres compared to its predecessors (ref. Wonderful Everyday and other Denpa VNs).
Reception: Facilitates introspection, poses the philosophical questions and initially introduces itself as a typical romcom to comment on these ideas. The title seems to be well-received by a few notable reviewers (ref. reviews from Veronin and JoyJason; the latter being one of the older bloggers dedicated to VNs and the former being the third most popular reviewer on MAL).
Sequel: Current (TBA) project of SCA-DI, providing more content to expand upon (Sakura no Toki: Sakura no Mori no Shita o Ayumu). This could also help generate attention for potential viewers.
